We are considering movingto Arcserve 9 from 2000. Looks pricey and I've read what it can do from CA. But has anyone foind any real difference/benifits from it ?

The big items are support for the new versions (widows and Exchange 2003) that motivate many to upgrade, also that AS 2000 support stops at the end of March.

It does seem a bit of a rip that support ends for AS2000 when its still valid product, its a money making exercise to force you to upgrade.

Considering the number of bugs that need services packs... AD may not restore with out CA SPx (think it was 3), jobs may stay in the READY state and not go ACTIVE with SPx
