Arcserve 7 - Database will not merge, Cannot Restore by Session

I have Arcserve 7 running on Netware 6sp2.

I can't browse the tree in Arcserve Manager's Restore by session. I have tried numerous patches from CA's website. I have tried *ALL* relevant patches I believe.

A manual Merge usually completes successfully but no detail files appear anywhere in Arcserve Manager.

I just stopped Arcserve, deleted the database, replaced it with an EMPTY copy and restarted Arcserve. I ran ASTART and then tried to merge a tape. THe server (Aprocess.nlm) Abended.

argh. I don't know what else to do!!!

Hi,

I recently have had database corruption issuse's for Arcserve for netware v7. I am currently running repair on the ASTPSDAT.DB file rather than creating a new database.

What version of ARCSERVE.NLM are you running? To find out, type MODULES ARCSERVE at the system console. -----------------------------------------------------

Arcserve 7.0 Build 252 10/10/01

After I blew away the database last night, and rebooted the server, it seemed to backup fine without abending. However, I have the merge set to start in 10 minutes so we'll see if it ends up merging.

Thanks everyone for your pointers. Installing the Blank Database and rebooting the server seemed to work. I also applied the newest 3XXXXX patches.

The database merged and I'm able to view detail files for all servers in 'Restore by Session' view.
