ARCServe 2000 Not detecting media

Scenario:

Windows 2000 Server (SP3)
ARCServe 2000 Advanced Edition (SP4)

Scheduled backups run but do not detect media. Options in job include the '*' for media name. AS2000 is being a pain in not detecting the tapes.

Hardware:
Compaq DL 380
DDS3 20/40GB (Compaq FW 1.16)

What exacty do you mean with 'not detecting the media'. What are the errors, what does the logs mention, what backup scheme do you use ??
