Arcserve 2000 AE tree view restore not working

Hi all,

I have an Arcserve 2000 (7.0 build 1100) setup on a Windows 2000 SP4 server. Daily backups are successfully made to 3 DDS4 tapes, the Arcserve DB is included in every backup job. When trying to restore however (restore from session), the session tree structures cannot be expanded. When I select the entire tree, the restore runs just fine. Of course you can imagine restoring a complete session tree everytime you just need a few files back is not very comfortable...
Any ideas anyone?

Hi,

Check for r*.* files in the ARCserve\database folder. THis could be a poterntial problem with the DB. IF you find more than 3 files starting with "R", Stop the DB Engine, delete r*.* files from within the database folder.
Clear out the ARCserve\temp folder.

Restart the DB engine, merge that last backed up tape back into the DB. See if it makes a difference.
