Is it possible to archive email by date from Exchange?

We upgraded from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 last year and migrated all the company mailboxes. We now have a large amount of mail going back over a few years. I would like to archive all mail prior to 01/01/2001 off to .PST files.

Is this possible?

I know a simple solution is to get more hard disk space but Management want me to attempt an archive of old mail first.

Thanks and Regards,

Joe Glynn

Exmerge...

Mailbox manager will nuke it but Exmerge can output to pst by date. Choose "Archive Data to Target Store" if you want to remove it from the database. Burn the pst and send it to the user on cd. Dan

Thanks for your help. I tried Exmerge over the weekend on our Exchange 2000 server, It worked perfectly.

Thanks and regards,
