Applying screensaver settings to all user in W2K pro

I need to know how to apply the screensaver settings to all users on a Windows 2000 Pro pc.

Is this one PC that multiple users log into or are you asking how to apply a certain screen saver to all PC's in your network?

This pc is part of a W2K domain, multiple users log to the computer and it is supposed to be configure so the screensaver will load after 10 mins. This is to all users.

I need to know how to apply it to every user.

So, you want the screen saver to load after 10 minutes but certain users are changing that setting? If this is the case you can force this issue in a GPO.


The setting is in Group Policy|User Configuration|Administrative Templates|Control Panel|Display Screen Saver Time Out.

What you set here will not be overridden by the settings on the display applet.
