Applying Network Settings

Hello. We recently made the change to Windows SBS 2003. When users log into the domain now, it takes a long time to "apply network settings".
Any ideas? Single domain controller, setup dns as a caching server pointing at my dns server. DHCP gives out dns. anything else I should be looking for?

Usually slow logon like this happens when DNS is setup properly.

The clients need to talk to your Internal DNS server in order to communicate with Active Directory. When the local DNS servers can not be found, the clients will take much longer to reboot and login in.

Verify that your clients are pointing to you local Windows DNS servers (and not to the ISP directly).

This check should be done on every machine that participates in the domain.
