Application hijack????

my sygate firewall has recently been giving me warnings of application hijacks! I dont know wot these are, (hacking?).
Here is wot its saying...
Application Hijacking has been detected
The application: C:\Program Files\Win Comm\WinComm.exe try to launch another application: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe to go to remote host public.windupdates.com

Wot do i do to stop this if anything?
Help appreciated!!

Do you run antispyware tools such as spybot or adaware? Do you run online virus checkers such as housecall or panda?

Yes i have spybot search & destroy, aswell as norton anti-virus.
Havent done a virus check in a while though....
