Hi,

My application within windows fails to start.

Does anyone know what the first steps I need to take to diagnose the problem?

Look in the event viewer for any errors. Then search the knowledge base for that error number that is associated with that application. What is the application?

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.
