Appending new records to an Access 2000 table

Could someone post the procedure for appending a table a with a new record? I would like to simply store a variable value in single field of a new record of an existing table in Access 2000. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
 
I use it frequently myself.&nbsp;&nbsp;You can also capture the user who did the input/update with CurrentUser.<br><br>I put a field for Data Entry Clerk in all my tables and include it in the form with the visible property set to no and the default value as =[CurrentUser].<br><br>That way I know who and when.<br><br>Good luck. <p>Larry De Laruelle<br><a href=mailto:larry1de@yahoo.com>larry1de@yahoo.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>
