Hi all,
I've been experiencing this issue lately with Access 2003 SP3. I'll create a table, then do a copy/paste of this table, and rename the new copy. Then I go to make an append query from Table1 to Table2, and only Table1 (itself) shows in the dropdown for the Append To.

I have closed and re-opened (figuring the tabledefs collection needs refreshing), I've compacted/repaired, and it still doesn't show.

I then go into sql view and manually type in the sql. Now when I drag the fieldset to the query grid, the append-to fields show correctly, but the Table2 still does *not* show in the list for dropdown. It is 'there' but it's not there--that is, the name Table2 shows up in the list sort of floating there, but when I click the dropdown, it's still not there in the dropdown.

Has anyone seen this or have any ideas what it may be?
There are some other probles this causes but that'll be for another thread.
Thanks,

I noticed this just the other day, with freshly imported tables (that shared the same name, so were named myTable1 on import).

I just wrote it off to "access being access" :-(

PHV,
I applied that hotfix, checked the file dates and versions, but the problem remains.

It did look promising--the item about listbox with tables having >30 fields, but the tables involved have had both less and more than 30 fields.
