Append from

I am working in Visual Foxpro 7.0. I am trying to append from a text file that contains blank characters in the name like "hi diddly diddly.txt" When I try an append from such a file name, I get an error message:"command contains unrecognized phrase/keyword" However, if I remove the blanks in the name, it works fine. I don't want to have to rename every file with blanks in it and the Foxpro Help doesn't help me much. Any solutions?
