Hi

we are trying to install the App Server onto a Dell T110ii (which we have done in the past many times - although not 9.1...)
The install fails during the Anaconda liux installer with and Unhandled Exception righ after the question about do you want to over write the disk, Yes, No or Advanced.

Tried several downloads and burns of DVD.

Also, the license agreement page comes up blank..

The server above is certified for Centos 6 so not sure why the installer crash

Any ideas?

Cheers!

I've run into what sounds like the same error doing USB installs when I had forgotten to move the syslinux.cfg and avaya_autoinstall.conf files from the USB folder. Have you tried a USB install? Are you using a USB DVD drive by chance? I've had problems installing operating systems in the past through USB 3.0 ports, so on the off chance you are using USB you might make sure that's not an issue. Might also look at whether it's using AHCI. When you are selecting the boot device do you get a normal and AHCI option and did you try both? If you can, maybe set the DVD drive to IDE mode?

Hi

Thanks for the reply.
We were trying to do an install from an internal DVD drive.
Odd as we had some older servers of the same model, and when we tried one of those it's fine.
Dell have definately changed something.
Hopefully we can find a way to sort, I have just boight 10 of these :D
I will check the DVD drive set up

Cheers

Dave

OK, so as a matter of interest, I think I have solved this.
The boot mode on the newer machines was set to UEFI, I changed it to BIOS Boot, and all seems well with the world.
So it seems the the App Server/Server Ed install DVD does not like EUFI...
