AOL disconnects contivity VPN

Hi guys , any one had experience with a nortel contivity vpn client disconnecting over an AOL broadband modem connection ??

any help much appreciated

did you ever find a solution to this? I have a co-worker trying to connect from home using AOL dialup and he can only stay connected to our VPN for about a minute before getting disconnected. I can connect from home using my DSL account and stay connected for hours with no prob so I know it's not the VPN software itself.

hi ,randy , yes our remedy was to use split tunelling & that way both tunells stay open. But beware of security this way.

AOL uses a VPN network.Causes a lot of grief.We would not
accept the security hazards of the split-tunneling.
