Anyone w/ Experience using OL2003 and Exch 5.5? 1

I'm considering rolling out Outlook 2003 to one of my clients. They are currently connected to an Exchange 5.5 box. I know at another client they use Outlook 2003 w/ Exchange 2003 and I'm amazed at how well Outlook 2003 handles being disconnected from the Exchange 2003 server (i.e. if the VPN connection goes down, they don't use the RPC over HTTP).

Does anyone else have experience with Outlook 2003 and Exchange 5.5 to know how well Outlook 2003 handles losing the connection to Exchange 5.5 and/or any other quirks with this combination? Thanks!

We use Outlook 2003 with our Exchange 5.5 servers. If you are talking about Cached Mode, it works fine with Exchange 5.5. There are a couple of very important patches you need on your servers if you use OL 2003.

I'm using OL2003 & Exch 5.5 without any problems. I haven't applied the two patches mentioned, and don't seem to be suffering from the symptoms at all.

I'm using OL in cached mode, and occasionally have reason to separate the PC from the network, and it seems to work well
