Anyone use dreamweaver for php

I'm trying to make a site using php with dreamweaver. Everytime a post a question in a php forum all the hand coders give me some crazy answer that I have no idea what theyre talking about. I need answers in dreamweaver terms not code terms. (at this point anyway) I did buy a book and I'm learning the code slowly. My question basically is if there are any Dreamweaver/php developers that use this forum, or do most people hand code their php.

i use it! but i also do some hand coding as i am learning as well, there are a lot of extensions and the best i think is phakt for php.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just downloaded it. I guess I'll post my questions here regaring php here rather than the php forums. Hopefully I'll get lucky.

There is always PHAkt, it's an open-source PHP extension for Dreamweaver.
Available here

It allows you to conntect to your database and drag and drag fields are create repeating regions of say 10 records, add next and previous buttons and more.

Worth a look if you're using PHP with DW

Hey All.....
I have a text box(using PHP & Dreamweaver MX) which is to get a date a input from the user..i need to store this date (entered) into a variable...and convert it into appropriate format(yyyy/mm/dd) and pass it to another form as a parametr..can anyone help??

how is the date being entered? do you have seperate fields for month day and year or is it like 03041980?
