Anyone know of a device that will open a security gate from phone?

We are putting in an electronic security gate at our building and they want to know if I can tied the gate into the phone system.

System Specs:
Avaya Prologix Definity, CM 1.2

The ideal scenario:
Bob Salesman from Acme is coming over to bid on a cable job. He arrives at the gate, dials my extension (or looks it up in a directory on the security panel)and my phone rings. I answer, realize it is Bob and dial a code on my phone to open the gate.

Is this possible?

There are devices available that can connect to an analog PBX port and respond to ringing voltage. One manufacturer, Weelock, has been doing that type of control for years. Their equipment would provide a contact closure.
