What I want to do is assign a cost to a subnet. Meaning if all is normal then have packets flow to router/firewall A, if the Internet is down then have the packets redirected to firewall/router B. Some routing devices allow you to put a cost of one higher to achieve this.

Anyone knw if that works on the standard edition of a 3750?

How about the enterprise edition?

Probably the enterprise edition will do that , it has all the advanced router functions . Don't know about the standard , that basically does simple routing with RIP I believe.

Im glad to see others have the 3750. I think it is one of the best switches Cisco has made yet. Especially the gigbit switches. You can do Equal-cost routing on the IP Services Image.

It looks like the standard routing image doesn't allow it.

Great switch... Not that pricy for a vlan rtr either.

I think you may be able to define default routes using RIP which the Standard image does support.
