Hi all, I'm starting to run right out of ideas here. Since we moved one of our servers to a new IP address, all I get is failed error 26 Client/server handshake. I've checked the logs, DNS, etc, but can't seem to put my finger on the problem. By the way this is all on NB 4.5 MP6. Anyone got any other pointers here???????

did you check the local host file?

Bob Stump
Just because the VERITAS documentation states a certain thing does not make it a fact and that is truth.

Yeah the local host file on the server has the backup server there. Like I said, it was working before the address change but all DNS, and host files have been amended.

and reverse lookup?

I have just checked that too, and sadly that is all correct. :-(

Well then I suggest marching down the bpclntcmd path.

How to verify name resolution for VERITAS NetBackup (tm) systems, using bplcntcmd
