Anyone Know 2003 CAL Licensing???

When we ordered our CAL's we have 67 user cals and 15 device cals. Can we change them between each other or they can only be what we bought them for?

If not can we saay that machines that have multible useres have the device CALS and single user PCs use the user CALS??? Yea we are confussed too.

You can change user to device, but once you do you are done. You cannot go back. Device are device. Cannot change.

You can have a device cal for each pc, therefore not having user licenses. You would use this senario if you have more people than computers.

Otherwise, user licenses are better.

So it is like per seat per server.

You can change per server to seat once.

Any per sever still can change to per device or per user?
