I am having lots of trouble with E6. We have received many errors (too numerous to list here) and we have been working with the BO tech team over the phone.
The errors we get are either related to Webi or Publisher. Right now I don't have Publisher installed as we are trying to just get thru the Webi issues. (i.e. errors :logging into the server, opening universes in webi, editing documents...)
I was curious to see if anyone else has deployed it successfully. In addition is anyone using Publisher. Further, Did you do an upgrade or a brand new install?
We are running BO Server Products on Win 2000 Server with SP3 and IIS installed. We have the correct JDK version 1.3 and all other pre-requisites.
You mentioned JDK. That implies you are using the JSP version of WebI. What about your app server? Which one are you using, Tomcat? Also, WebI in JSP mode doesn't work with IIS. You have to use Apache.
If you are using ASP, you should be OK.

We are experiencing a java console error when trying to create a new document in Webi or editing an existing document. We found out from BO today that our error is part of a product bug with 6.0.
We are using Windows 2000 Server and installed the ASP version.
For anyone who has installed and is using it are you able to use Webi? What other parts did you install? Anyone install Publisher? Did you upgrade or install fresh?
Further if you did successfully install would you mind sharing with me some specs on the hardware you used? We are using a IBM XSERIES 345 P4. We put all of the server prodcuts on it (this was supposed to be just for testing 6.0).
If we could figure out a magic formula to get it working that would be great. With the install 'bugs' and then the product bugs we can't see how anyone has had success with 6.0.
