Some odd things seem to be happening to my machine.

One time I left a floppy in the drive and booted up the comp. When the boot msg came up (standard one that you get if a non-bootable floppy's in the drive), it came up on what I believe is German. Hasn't happened since.

Then I loaded up a program recently and it was in German. I uninstalled and re-installed it and it's back to good old readable English.

I've scanned my comp for viruses using NAV and I've tried scouring my HDs for proggies that shouldn't be, as well as the registry, but I couldn't find anything.

Anyone else experience this?

Other than watching the spanish TV channel and hearing "blah, blah, blah, blah...MAGNAVOX!..blah, blah...COCA-COLA!"

nope. Never heard of that before. ;)

You scanned your puter for viruses - what about the floppy? Thats strange to say the least, but thats about the only thing i can think of at the moment..besides "blah, blah, blah..MAGNAVOX!!" LOL

Hooboy...im a tired cookie! :p pbxman

You've got something on your system akin to something I discovered on mine last month. I found one of my files had been partially rewritten in Greek and special characters' fonts. No AV program could find it. My firewall showed a program with a name in special fonts, but a search of the system could not locate it. I went into the Control Panel/Fonts and deleted the Greek and Special Characters fonts, figuring I didn't need them and without the fonts installed the program couldn't run. Right after I deleted those fonts my AV program caught it and killed it. It was quite a nasty Trojan. Good luck. whythisagainwhythisagainwhythisagain

Try looking for your language bar and its settings, your computer might have one or more foreign languages enabled.

I've got Chinese enabled for my wife and once in a while, when ALT-Tab'ing through apps and then going into IE, the language setting gets changed and my input will wind up in Chinese.
