Any way to be alerted to hung (busy) analog port?

The analog line to one our busiest fax machines is not disconnecting about one or twice a week.

I know I can view the line's status in the System Status app, but is there any way to set up a poll, or is there any timer that updates in the SysMonitor log files?

Why not route the calls to a shortcode with a t(5) and use that to send the call to the fax, that will disconnect any incoming call after 5(ish) mins, and then route any outgoing calls from the fax through a similiar shortcode, then you will not need to watch/monitor it :)

Hmm, that would work, especially since we don't do any outgoing on that line.

I take it that 5-minute timer will drop the call no matter what, even if there's a long/multi-page fax in progress?

when you have doubts then make it ten minutes.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Indeed, the 5 was an example it can be changed, I would imagine even a multi page would be done in 5 mins but you can set it to whatever you like :)
