Any way to access the information on a chart?

Just thought of this after the last post (marking outliers). Are the chart elements (columns, labels, etc...) exposed to the formula mechanism, ie are they programmable.

I can find no info on this.

The kind of thing I've googled for (web and USENET) is
"crystal reports" with "mark maxima", "mark minima", "flag maximum", "maximum value", "emphasize outliers", "modify chart labels"

Looks like I'll just have to do separate, dedicated reports with separate SQL statements for these types of reports, instead of marking the info on general reports.

Interesting that you describe what you Googled but give no technical information about your software or database version, whether you're programatically creating reports, or any other information.

You cannot programmatically control a chart, that is to say it isn't exposed as an object per se.

One solution might be to create a View or SP on the database which presents data in a fashion which lends itself to the type of chart you require.

Consider posting technical information.

Apologies about the lack of detail. I got frustrated with no search results & rushed the post.

sql Server 2000
Crystal 8.5 (just Crystal, no Dev Studio).
