Here's the problem. Have a query which brings back specified fields in a report. One field, which has a person's name, may have from 1 to 4 people per record.

What I'd like to see in the report is this:

23 102934 Huntsville AL 12/1/01 Bob Smith
John Little
Mary Sue
24 103434 Birmingham AL 11/15/01 Louis Lemire
25 080023 Montgomery AL 09/05/01 Jerry Jenkels...

...and so and so forth... ignore the spatial alignment of the names, these show up as tabulated fields; so, need to expand, when applicable, the listing of the field with names. Most have only 1, some have 2, 3 or even 4 per record.

...any ideas?

Louis,

It appears that you have a classic 1 to many relationship. Without knowing all the details, is a solution to create the report.

1. Ensure that your query is set up as a 1 to many relationship. (ie. 1 Order can have many People)
2. Open the report in Design View.
a. On the menu bar, select View ==> Sorting and Grouping
- Select the field to use for Sorting
- A new section will appear in this part of
report.
- Enter the grouping field name. In addition you can add the remaining City information here.
b. In the detail section, add the person field.
3. When the report runs, you should get the results you desire.

Still Learning...same here..yes, the collectors are in a one to many table with the records..and so I will try your solution....Danke shon mein freund.
