Hi all, need advice on the following :

May I know is there any impact or problems if I change the Computer Name on Node 1 and Node 2 after configured the Clustering?

Pls advice.

Million of thanks

The safest route is to evict and rebuild one node at a time. When in doubt, kick it out.

Hi xmsre...thanks for ur advice.

Btw I have reinstall the cluster service cos encountered problem after changing the Node 1 Computer Name.
The problem is : The shared Drive can't be access by Node 2 and failover failed.

And I also ever thought of evict the node and rebuild.:-(

But I still thank you for ur advice. Next time I will use evict method if have to change the computer Name.

Million of thanks

If you didn't evict and rebuild, then likely the cluster hive contains a reference to a previous signature of the drive. Likely this reference is invalid. Proof positive would be an event 1034. There are many ways to fix the issue. Usually this involves either writing the expected signature to the disk, or the actual signature to the resource entry in the cluster hive.
