any idea on wcpuid failure on AMD XP1600?

I had this new AMD XP1600+ with me for a while.
I tried to run wcpuid on it and want to get some
tech. figure. But I never got it done. It just gives
me the famous 'blue screen of death'. But when I
press a key, the machine goes back to the desktop
and can go on. Could it be the CPU for the MOBO?
But if I am just doing some Work, Excel, Vfoxpro,
web surfing, real player, it seem OK. Any ideas?
