Hi,

Has anyone heard of, or implemented Databeacon? I was at a user group dinner, where the guest speaker spoke about this amazing product and how he was a hero with his boss.
The application sounds system independent, extremely easy to use and with a robust feature set. It's gotta beat Cognos, Crystal, and RYO Excel.

I do consulting, helping clients get a handle on data from multiple data sources, analysis, reporting, etc. This tool(?) sounds like it would make me a hero with my clients.

I checked out a local solutions provider, and have a meeting scheduled for next month, so we can learn more.

I just don't want meet with these guys and be unaware.

Thanks in advance!

Greg

Have not heard anything about it but would like to hear more.

Ok, this is strange, but I found a product. In fact, I was so impressed with the product, that I got talked into a job!

Simply, the product is a data analysis/publishing tool that has some amazing benefits, in that it cust development time/cost, requires no end user training or software, and runs on a simple web server. Compared to Cognos, the price is dirt cheap, yet it appears to have more flexibility. Installed and and running in half a day.

The solution is called Databeacon. I signed on with ReGenerating Solutions, in CT.

Here is my email and a demo site where you can try the product.

I would appreciate your feedback, as I just gave up a 17 year position to get involved with this product. I think it has real potential.

I apologize to all if this sounds like a commercial. I assure you it is not. Thanks!
