I posted this previously in General Virus Discussion, but got no response, so I thought I'd try it here......

I have a client who has an existing peer-to-peer network consisting of 4 systems, each with NAV 2002. He purchased a used server running NT 4.0.Server with no virus protection. He really doesn't want to purchase NAV Corporate Edition with 5 licenses, since he already has protection on the workstations. NAV 2002 (or 2003) will not install independently on NT 4.0 Server. Is it possible to purchase a stand-alone version of the Corporate Edition without the additional licenses? Or is there any other brand that will accomplish this?

Thanks,
Barry

Not that I'm aware of. I seem to remember the CE comes with some minimum amount of clients. But it's been so long since I bought it, I don't rememeber for sure. You could call symantec or a local dealer. If you can't, post back and I'll call for you.

Personally I think he's better off just biting the bullet and getting the superior features of NAVCE over the home version. But then again, it's not my $$$!
