I have installed Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition 8.0 on our Windows 2000 Server and all 25 Windows 98SE clients. Realtime Protection is enabled. Symantec suggest doing a full scan as well using the scheduler. I scheduled it on the server to scan in the middle of the night on a weekly basis. It does not run unless I am logged on. Obviously I do not want to leave the server logged on as Administrator. Shouldn't it run when logged off - like the tape backup does? You can tell I am fairly new at this stuff.

I also notices it adds quite a number of events to the event viewer log for skipped over files. Is this normal?

Ive installed this a few times--and cannot reemmber wether ir should run when admin is ogged off-- however- simple answer- why not just LOCK the server instead of logging admin off?
