I have a second issue:
A secretary wants to answer her boss calls, she is now in a pickup group but her boss isn't. Anyone can tell me how to activate a 6408D+ button for answering her boss calls?
Many thanks again!

You can either put her boss in a pickup group with her or set up a bridged appearance on her station for his ext.

If the boss is also using a digital set (6408) or another type digital set, a bridged apperance will work great for you. If the boss has a analog type phone, a pickup group will work better.

Or a Directed-Call Pickup speed dial button.

The problem with an “abridged appearance” is that you cannot transfer that call back to that number. That is why I suggested a call pickup for that number in a analog phone scenario.

She had a bridged appearance, but the issue with that is when her boss phone is busy or he's not at the office, the next step in his coverage path is her phone, but the phone does not ring when the bridged appearance is activated.

Make sure that bridged call alerting is turned on on her station setup.
