Another Forwarding Question from another extension.

Hi,

Is it possible, using shortcodes and or programmable buttons, to set/change the fwd unconditional button on a virtual extension from another extension?

ext 206 is a real extension. Ext 230 has no physical device and is used purely to do some call redirecting. I want to be able to change the call fwd number used on ext 230 from ext 206.

Any suggestions as I cant seem to get it to work.

Give the vitual user a login code.
Also give it a button forward unconditional.
Login and change the destination and log out.

If using VM pro you can change it using the "personal options menu". Make a user with voicemail turned on. Go into vm pro client, setup a leave action for that user, put in "personal options menu" and point the mailbox to your forwarded extension and I use "play configuration menu (legacy)". Option 3 changes the forwarding number.
