I recently had to replace a Callmaster II customer service phone with an exact duplicate. But on the replacement, the customer gets a tone every 14 seconds through her headset, which can also be heard by the other party. The original console did not have this annoying tone, but I can't figure out what may be causing it on the replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It happens any time the phone is off the hook, but doesn't seem to be tied to how long the phone has been off-hook.

Annoying tone on Callmaster II

The tone is the Recorder Warning Tone which can be disabled by unpluging the headset, pressing the Select button, pressing the Mute button, dialing 78*.

Thanks for the information. I followed the instructions, from you and from the website, but the phone did not appear to accept the programming change, not sure why. So I just swapped it out for another spare, and she's happy.
The problem is resolved for now, and we are replacing all of our phones in about 2 months, so it's all good. Thanks again.

Do you have a headset plug on the console? If so, you'll need to remove it before entering the programming codes.
