is there a distance limit on analog lines - I know digital is 3,000 ft but can't find info on analog

5000 but nortel makes an opx card for analog.. 8 ports twice as far.. i have installed ext (opx) 50 miles.. your switch just has to send the ext to the local provider.. they use repeaters, long line adapters and load coils to supply the same voltage that they are sent to the far end.. they can extend the loop distance 50 miles or 500... in house copper... real close to a mile
