Without the make/model of the motherboard? difficult to tell but:
Visit your motherboards manufactures website, armed with this information and do a simple CPU compatibility test to determine the maximum speed supported.

For the most part, most mobos that support the XP1800 (thoroughbred version) can have firmware upgraded to support up to XP2400 t-bred. My mobo (ECS K7S5A v1.0) states that it can support up to XP2600. But from what I've read AMD T-bred CPUs with bus speeds of 266MHz only go up to XP2400. Therefore I believe this is the highest you can go.
