Firstly official AMD Temps
Up to 1 gig processors max temperature is 90 degrees C (sorry you'll have to convert)
I gig sustained of around 71 degrees C with an ambient temp of 45 (I know this figure is a little warm for ambient) but that's what they say.
Now the truth! your processor should really be idling below 35 degrees C with max's less than 50 degrees C especially if your Over Clocking.
I guess your temps must be high or you wouldn't be asking, so the best advise I can give you is improve the air flow in your case, put an extra case fan as close to the heatsink as possible, work out an air flow diagram of all your systems fans, try and get the air flow in one direction
(even if that means turning around a fan) in at the bottem front, out at the top back, putting in an extra fan or two as close to the processor as possible is very effective.
Just remember it's no good having a powerful processor fan if it's blowing warm air onto the heatsink, you must supply it with cool (ambient temperature) air.Visit
41c is fine! is this at idle? try 15mins of unreal tournament or Quake and go straight into the system monitor, you can usually do this in a few seconds, as long as it is below 50c everything is coooooooooooool!
The other thing is your ambient temp (room temp)
I am in the UK so it's not too hot here, my max of 43c is with a room temp in the late 20's
Sounds like you have it sussed.
If 41c is your idle then it depends on your room temp, this is still OK if you are in a warm room say in the low 30's
Buts it's the max temps that are important, below 50c is fine more than this and you may need extra case fans etc
