ambient server temperature

Hi,

Im sorry this is a bit off topic.,

But, i hope someone can help.

I have been asked by my boss to get the recommended ambient server room temperature for an Acer Altos G510..

I have found a few sites that give a general temperature of around 21c - 28c, but its for a very demanding customer, and they want info for their server.

So if anyone has come across anything from Acer with recommended ambient server room temperature.

Could they please post it.

Sorry can't remember where I read it but recall something about 21-25 C.

One other thing thats important is humidity, air conditioning should take care of this. Obviously the problem would be if you had a high RH.

I try to get my ambiant temperature to 20C but I'm having a real hard time righ tnow with 8 servers in one room. I just got a quote for a separate AC unit for the server room and it's 5000$ CDN... My average temp is 28C and it did run as high as 35C when the building AC died !
