I downlaod amanda and unzip them and when I use this ./configure --with-user=<Username> --with-group=<groupname>. It give me an error of no acceptable cc found in $PATH. What am I doing wrong.

It means that it can't fine the C compiler. Do you have cc or gcc installed on the machine? //Daniel

If you dont have c compiler.You can download amanda*.rpm from ftp.redhat.com or other website.
