Alternative to Drill down

What exactly are you trying to do? The list you gave so far, looks like a simple grouping which is easy, and is explained well in the on-line help & PDF files that come with Impromptu (look under grouping/ sorting/ filtering). I don't see the need here for a drill through.
If you add prompts (sorry about the spelling in last post), you can have a dynamic report, were the end user would pick & filter what she wants to see at run time. See various threads at TT (many by Dave Griffin) about prompts.
Drill throughs ARE possible in Impromptu, and also sub-reports. However you need to decide how things are to be linked together in the final report.
