Is there a way to shade alternate rows automatically so that if a row is added or deleted that the shading will automatically adjust? The question could be expanded to be groups of rows (e.g. three rows shaded, three rows not, etc.) as well as to be extended to apply to alternate columns or groups of columns.

See faq68-4744 (How can I shade alternate rows automatically?)

Help us help you. Please read FAQ181-2886 before posting.

The FAQ recommended changed to color of the font and what I need is to change the shading color of the cells. Can you give me a change in the formula to accomplish that?

Thanks

The FAQ doesn't mention Fonts. You choose what you want to change from the tab of your choosing when you hit the format button. If you want the background to change then you choose the Patterns tab. Formulas are the same irrespective.

So what exactly do you think that site/page gives that the referenced FAQ doesn't such that you think you need to direct the poster to another site. Unless I'm mistaken the FAQ actually answers the OPs specific question right down to the 3 row banding desired.

You're absolutely correct. FAQ has the answer to the specific question.

Sorry for putting my two cents in.
