I have a group of PC's that have the C: drive locked down so users cannot browse it, this is creating a problem when users try to apply a Design Template in Powerpoint 2000 as the program looks to the C: drive by default. I have copied the templates to a share but Powerpoint continues to look in the C: drive, does anyone know where i can alter this behaviour? It's seems fairly straight forward in Word.

Thanks.

It's a long time since I installed a copy of Office2K, but ISTR that the location of templates is an install option.

As you say, it's easy to get Word2K to look elsewhere for Templates (Tools -> Options -> File Locations) but AFAIK that's not available in PP2K - unless there's a registry hack.

Yes it's a shame that it errors a couple of times before giving the option to browse for another location as this would be less annoying for users.

Cheers.
