I have a store with 4 registers. The system times, dates, and time zones are correct on all. I am running Aloha 6.5.34. Widows 7 on the BOH and XP on the registers. When the time change occurred, we found all of the registers to be running 1 hour behind. I can not get them to the correct time. I have tried reboots, refreshes, deleting timezone.ini (which never got recreated), restarting the FOH, restarting control server. I'm out of ideas and I've tried everything I've seen in previous discussion on this forum as well. Any other ideas?

Aloha doesn't handle time zones very well. It seems to spring backward when it should spring forward and vice versa. This usually causes EOD to run pre-maturely. If you only have the one store, you might want to consider changing the time zone to one that does not do DST. Personally, I use Arizona. The terminals should sync time with the server. If you change the time on the server, the time should change on the terminals. Please keep in mind there are version of Aloha where this is better than others. I know it's not a true solution to your problem and you would have to manually adjust twice per year to fix the time, but it beats running EOD with open checks and having them all closed to cash.

We ended up disabling DST on all devices. Not a great solution but what are ya gonna do.....
