I am installing Aloha Table Service in a Laptop. Im getting error "failed to register station name, error 0x23" How can I resolve this? Table Service version 6.1.9.

Most likely a lana or DHCP MediaSense problem. You'll need to run lanacfg.exe on the laptop to determine which network card Aloha is trying to use and correct it. DHCP MediaSense can be disabled through the registry. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
and add a new DWORD of DisableDHCPMediaSense with a value of 1.

My work in Progress

I cannot find lanacfg.exe in my commmand promt? Does this had to be installed

You can get it from Radiant or Microsoft. I've got a copy on my site if you can't find it elsewhere.

BOH is running now fine. I disable all other network adapter and disable media senses. Now im trying to run FOH... which i choose Run BOH and FOH in same PC. Im getting an error of "Not autorized for delivery

I'm guessing you've got delivery turned on, but the security key codes in aloha.ini were not meant for delivery. Are you testing this with a real database, or just testing in general?

The error is showing if I use the system recently installed without a database of my restaurants. If use the database of one of the restaurants the error is "you have license for one terminal but 3 are defined". I have the key and have license for only 1 terminal.

Not authorized for Video" means the SEC Codes were not meant for Delivery. Try turning off Delivery in Store Settings or check for something in NEWDATA/aloha.ini that says DELIVERY=TRUE and change it to DELIVERY=FALSE, then run a refresh.

To fix the 1 terminal 3 are defined, go to Maintenance>Hardware>Terminals, and uncheck "Order Entry Terminal" for term2 and term3 then run a refresh. You can also run IBER.EXE or IBERQS.EXE with the /dev switch to suppress this and alot of other errors.

I don't personally, but I'm sure there are plenty of equally intelligent people on this site that will. I'm in the process of writing up some guides on my new site (theposforum.com) such as setting up aloha for demo/testing, virtual machine testing, running multiple aloha's at the same time, dual monitor config, etc...it will just take awhile.

All is working now except when the access level. I dont know if there is a file that had the access level. Manager, Developer an so on... Im running in vmware and is great.
