The previous manager made some changes on our system which I can not get functional again. I have all services starting (ctlsvr, and edcsvr). EDC, and Aloha Manager both launch fine. All hardware shows up properly. The USB Hasp key is working because ctlsvr is starting, and working.

However when I run iber I get a message after Reading Coins that says security key not found. When I review the debout log it says Fatal Error: Security key not found.

This is a standalone unit, server - terminal all in one. The business is doin all handwritten checks at the moment........HELP!!!

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Is the key still plugged into the machine?

Cheers,
Coorsman

the key is in the machine, i updated hasp drivers. I see it in device manager, and ctlsvr sees it as well. I am not sure whats goin on. I would reinstall and restore but he can not find software....

I have verfied aloha.ini has the key info. also....Is there somewhere else iber check for the security key?

Rename the Aloha.ini file in new data then copy an Aloha.ini file from a previous day, edit the new ini file and change the DOB to today's date.
Then do a refresh from aloha manager.

Also , delete the trans.log file in data.

this is really confusing me. if the license file and numbers were non function wouldnt ctlsvr service stop?

You never know with Aloha, also a bad trans.log file could cause the same problem. I had on on Sunday where a trans.log file was causing a terminal to constantly beep when a bartender logged in but only on one terminal. So That's the first two things i'd try.
