my database has a ton of reports that I want any of my clients to use. they are getting a runtime version of Access XP, but they will want to give these reports to others who may not have Access.
i want to put a button on a form that will save the Snapshot Viewer program (I believe it's snpvw90.exe) to wherever the user browses to. (yeah, i could just put it on the CD and tell them to find it, but it's not too user friendly.)
questions:
1. What is the code to do this? I've hunted around in FAQ's/Help and have failed so far to find a DoCmd code.
2. If the client does not install the ap in the default directory, can this code still work?
3. (side not) Has anybody else noticed that Microsoft no longer has the snapshot viewer on their downloads site? I got it from somewhere else, but I'd like the most current version.
thanks for the help.
