I have a spreadsheet linked into my MSAccess database. However, when I try to run my macro which appends the data I notice not all records are being added. For example there are 401 total records in Excel. However, only 387 records are imported. Have any ideas Why not all records get imported. What could make the difference?

Are you importing or Linking, you mentioned both and there is a difference. Import makes a copy of the data. So changes made to the one side do not show on the other side. Think of a Copy machine.
A Link is a Live interaction between to programs so data changed on either side shows on the other.

DougP
dposton@universal1.com

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.

Thanks for your response. The data is originally downloaded from another application and saved as an MSExcel spreadsheet. I link the spreadsheet into my database. Then using a macro I delete OLD (obsolete) data from the table and APPEND new data into the table from the LINKED spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is a LINK and the data is copied into the TABLE using an APPEND query. I have also tried saving the MSExcel data as an ASCII file and link that data to use in my APPEND query, but I continue to append only 387 records instead of 401 records. Karen
