All Media showing as cleaning media after an inventory

Whenever I runan inventory on my SureStore 6/60 library, all media is reporting as cleaning media. I ahve enable the bar code rules etc as per Veritas and still this is happening, does anyone have any ideas or has seen this before?

1. Make sure your tapes REALLY aren't cleaning tapes.

2. Are you using an autolibrary? If so, go to the slots, right click on each one and there's a check box (I forget which tab it's on) to make it a cleaning slot, make sure it's not checked.

Tapes are brand new 200GB LTO tapes, only 2 slots are cleaning slots (which contain cleaning media), I have dumped and reloaded the datatbase (as per Vertias tech support), reloaded backup exec, flashed the hardware of the library, loaded the latest drivers for everything I can find, SCSI ID's etc are correct, just can't seem to shift this problem.

Check to make sure the 'write protect' slider isn't in the wrong position on the tapes.

Have you tried labeling the tapes (which will also erase them) and then inventorying them?

Yeah, tried that, after the were relabeled, the inventory showed them all as.....yes, you guessed it, CLEANING MEDIA

I know this is no help,
But I have a similar problem,
Whenever my system tries to backup to blank,scratch etc tapes it changes them to cleaning tapes and then tries the next one.
Running Veritas 9.1 sp1, MSL5026 SDLT autoloader, w2k,
They are not set to cleaning slots, nothing I do seemsto stop this from occuring either.
