All the .h,.c,.cpp files go to 0 bytes on my Pc. Pleas e help...I have tried all the antiviruses.

When do they go to zero length? When you compile, or link, randomly, or some other time?

It goes to Zero seconds after loading onto the system. I have tried to reload .h files a lot of times but to no avail. I have tried the usual antiviruses. I cant do c,c++ vc++ or run softwares that use these to compile.
I would be very obliged if you help

Have you re-installed all relavant applications?

This is probably a stupid question -

But have you turned off the "Hide extensions for known file types" flag under Windows Explorer?

Otherwise, I'm thinking it's a virus. If you get really frustrated, try reloading the operating system from scratch -- use FDISK from a known clean boot diskette to re-write the master boot record (FDISK /MBR), delete all partitions, then boot from your OS CDROM and re-install. Make a backup of your files, of course, but mark the diskettes as being "untrustworthy" until you know they're clean.
