I have:
Call Pilot 150 ver 3.1
MICS ver 4.1
12 line multi-hunt group

The problem:
Lines 001-004, 025 all calls are sent immediately to the general delivery MB

All other lines are being answered by the AA with the proper greeting. All lines are programmed the same in the VM and KSU.

Any suggestions ?

Double check everything.

Make sure all lines using Table 1, all Lines set to 4 rings ar whatever you use.
Make sure set(221?) is not in any night service or forward or forward busy.
Make sure Feature 982 has operator available.

In addition if the above does not clear the problem. look for one of the stations being set on forward to VM (feature 4 or feature 984) this is a common problem with some customers, they read in the book that they can set their phone to forward to VM without thinking that it will forward all calls that ring their phone. Usually I see this in someone who is going on vacation for a couple days and dosen't want their phone ringing and bothering others.

Forwarding your calls to VM should not be a problem as long as your telephone does not ring on incoming calls. In this case, ther caller was getting the message "You have reached the general delivery mailbox, please enter the number of the person you want to speak with" instead of the AA answering.

OK overstepped one part. If there is no mbox assigned and someone forwarded to VM, or CF Busy is set and the phone is in use, you will get the GD mailbox.

I agree, if it were a "ringing" telephone. In this case station 236 was forwarded to VM, 236 has no mailbox configured. So callers "dialing" 236 would get the GD. However 236 has no ringing line appearances. All incoming calls were going "directly" to the GD. The AA never picked up.

First off what is the setup?
1 reception with ringing lines or several sets with ringing lines?
Is AA supposed to answer right away or as backup after so many rings?.

there is no receptionist or designated operator. All lines are configured to be answered by VM after -1- ring. A few telephones rings, but at areas where no one sits, file rm, kitchen, etc. (No one wants it ringing at their desk). Callers were getting the message "You have reached the general delivery mailbox, please enter the number of the person you want to speak with" instead of the AA answering.

try setting one line to go to AA on zero rings then call the line. if the problem is forwarding you will get the AA, since AA has precidence over forwarding, if the problem is not you will get the GD.

if u cant figure out..then make line 1234,25 private to a set..release out of programming...abck into programming and reprogram to sets that are supposed to have those line ring once on..also will ned to inspect every set for forward to vm from set"hard cfwd

The trouble cleared by itself a while ago, which tells me it was a forwarding issue. However, I have a test bench in the back and I will try to duplicate this problem. I'll definately try out your tips. thanks for your input. when i get my answer, i'll let you know.
