hey there,

I got a problem with a network printer(192.168.1.253).

sometimes it prints, sometimes it fails.

and when it fails, arp -a show:
192.168.1.253 00:00:00:00:00:00 invalid

other entries in the cache seems alright.

any ideas?

many thanks in advance.

Can you ping it from every machine directly? What kind of NIC does the printer have in it?
Is it hardware issue with the NIC? Does it always give the same MAC when it doesn't fail?
Have you tried reinstalling?
Any error messages on the client when it fails?
